August 26, 2006 Carver Memorial in conjunction with other area churches, hosted a health and safety fair. More than 400 book bags of school supplies
were donated to area youths. The fair registered 1000 participants and was supported by the city services of fire, police, sherrif, Red Cross, Sentara hospital and Social Services and local vendors.

November 22, 2007 members of Carver helped to serve Thanksgiving dinners to community residents and Carver members.
Exactly 310 dinners were given away on Thursday afternoon from the TRAC building and/or delivered to Carver members and community residents.
This was a joint partnership between New Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Hampton, VA., who prepared over 1,000 total dinners including the 310 that were served from TRAC and Carver Memorial Presbyterian Church. Glory be to God for the marvelous things He has done !
